As a rough guide, the following suggested shopping list should help with putting your order together. This is only a guide, though, and you may feel that not all the items listed are necessary for you. Not all of the items are essential – one or two, however make life a little simpler. Please remember you can mix and match the style of nappies to your heart’s content. There is no rule that all your nappies have to be the same– buy what is going to suit you.

20 nappies – fewer if not for a newborn, work on enough for three days*
5 boosters – to increase absorbency at night or when travelling

Nappy Nippas – if the nappies you have chosen don't have fastenings

3 or 4 wraps – check size, you will need to buy bigger sizes as your child grows

Paper liners – for catching poo

Stay dry liners – to keep baby’s skin dry

Wet nappy bag – to bring dirty/wet nappies home

Nappy bucket – for soaking/standing nappies between washes
Nappy mesh – makes lifting nappies into the washing machine easier

Tea-Tree oil – for soaking

Wipes – for cleaning soiled bottoms

Swim nappy – swimming is great fun (check baby’s weight before ordering)
*Think about how often you want to wash them.

If you are going to have two or more children in cloth, you will need to buy enough wraps for each child, and if they are in sized nappies, a full set for each. However, if the older child is a Onesize nappies you will only need to buy an extra half set. Please contact me if you’re at all unsure.
